"Preparing All Students to Succeed"

MOTTO:  Character Education is not a NOUN, it is a VERB!

The development of good character education in children requires the efforts of both home and school, as well as assistance from community resources and civic organizations.  In an age where youth are increasingly influenced by the media and their peers, it is critical that parents take an especially strong role in their children’s moral development.

Here at East Elementary School, we have implemented a character education component to our curriculum, because we think character education is the stepping-stone to building productive citizens in the new millennium.  Therefore, we have selected several monthly traits that will focus on heightening the sensitivity of students to the value of positive character.
